Wired has published a long list of positive messages in the Catholic Church on gay sex, and it seems many of them can be found in the Bible, the Bible is full of love.
In the Bible the Apostle Paul talks about how God loves us and we love him, but when it comes to gay sex Paul says that if we are not able to be together in Christ, we are doing something wrong.
“Do you want to be a Christian?”
“Or do you want sex to be something that you have to be celibate about?
Or do you really want to love yourself and your partner and have the sex you want?”
In his book On the Same Bible, Father Robert Finn, a priest at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Pennsylvania, describes the Bible’s message on gay and lesbian love as “love at all costs.”
Finn says that in the Old Testament, Paul wrote a book called Romans and wrote, “Love is patient, love is kind, love does not envy, love has no malice, love forgives, love believes in itself.”
In the New Testament, John the Baptist wrote, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
Finn points out that the Bible has also said that you shouldn’t have sex unless you are married.
“If you are not married, then you should not have sex, because you are doing the sin of adultery,” he says.
And when it came to the teachings of the church on homosexuality, Finn says, “[In the Old] Testament, we have God’s word that homosexuality is not right, and Jesus has told us to hate homosexuality.”
Finn said that when the church came out against gay marriage, the gay rights movement took the church’s position and they went out of their way to spread their message.
And so, Finn said, when it became clear that the church would not listen to the gay community, they began to change their stance on homosexuality.
Funn says that even today the church is still fighting against the LGBT community.
But while Finn and the other priests at St Francis de Salsburg have the support of their community, Finn was not expecting to be the only one.
“When I first started in the priesthood, I had some people that I didn’t know at all,” Finn says.
He says that some of his fellow priests and bishops had told him that the people who came to him were “uneducated” and that their religion was not in sync with their own church.
So Finn decided to make sure that everyone knew what he was doing.
“I got my first assignment at the church as a counselor,” Finn said.
The new position allowed Finn to help people in need and provide pastoral support.
When it came time to start the priest position, Finn began to do outreach to gay and lesbians in the church.
He says that while the first two years of his job at St Franciscas was challenging, he learned a lot from his job and he learned from others who were struggling with the same issues.
Funn also says that he noticed a big difference in the way that gay people were treated at St Franches than the church was.
“When you were a gay person in the congregation you had no rights,” Finn told ABC News.
“You had to have permission from the church before you could do anything, you had to wear a robe or something like that, and you could not come in with a partner or even with your husband.
But when I got into the church, it was different.”
“It was more like a friendly, welcoming church.
People were really welcoming to me, and I really felt like I was in their shoes,” Finn added.
I think it’s a sign of how much the church has changed over time that the gay and bisexual community has started to become a major presence in the Church.
So what has been the church teaching about gay and gay sex since the late 1960s?
The church has not changed its stance on gay rights and sexuality, Finn told ABC News, but the church now teaches that it is not acceptable for gays to have sex outside of marriage, and that they should not get married.
What’s the latest news on gay marriage?
On June 1, the Supreme Court will hear arguments in the case of Windsor v.
United States, which will decide whether same-sex couples have the right to marry in the United States.
