Super Eagles Captain and Chelsea midfielder John Mikel Obi seems set for a move to Ligue 1 side Olympic Marseille when the football transfer window opens in January, this was made known by the Super Eagles’ coach, Gernot Rohr.
John Mikel Obi has not played a single game for Chelsea this season and his chances are getting slimmer by the day with Chelsea boss Antonio Conte preferring to not rotate his wining team.
Rohr Said “I saw him in London. He is in advanced discussions with Marseille,”
The Super Eagles boss said Mikel sees Marseille as a ‘serious option’ and will be ‘allowed to leave for free’.
Rohr earlier said in November that he believed Mikel’s lack of playing time was a punishment for his participation at the Rio Olympics though the player himself claimed he got Conte’s blessing before going to Rio.
